Noel has extensive experience working in Residential Treatment and Support Services with an emphasis on Stabilization and Transitional Living. Holding a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia, Noel’s treatment and client care philosophy is informed by his own personal story of addiction and recovery. Compassion, understanding and empowerment have been central to his recovery and are at the heart of his approach towards walking with another in their journey to health, wellness and recovery.
Noel has participated in various 12-step programs and holistic wellness models. His training and experience have provided him with opportunities to work in areas of early recovery client stabilization, group and individual counseling, dual mental health and substance misuse challenges, relapse prevention and long-term health and wellness goal development. He engages techniques from Motivational Interviewing, CBT and strength based Reality Therapy as part of a collaborative recovery model. Noel’s focus is on meeting the client where they are today and to journey with them towards tomorrow.
