Prestonne brings a relaxed and healing energy to the Solid Ground yoga program—making it easy and fun for our clients to do the vital mindfulness work that has been repeatedly shown to increase people’s chances of successfully recovering from addiction.
Prestonne attended her first yoga class at the age of 16. She was immediately drawn to the practice by the fusion of body, mind and breath in a challenging and rewarding exercise. After her first 40-day challenge in the spring of 2010, she was hooked on yoga and began to practice on a daily basis.
Prestonne pursued her yoga career by attending the 200hr Yoga Alliance teacher training in the summer of 2011. In January 2014, she partnered with Nicole Whitman to open Yoga Generation in Coquitlam.
She encourages her students to listen to their bodies, while simultaneously testing their limits and growing both in a physical and mental capacity.
When not practicing yoga, she spend my time outdoors. You can often catch her hiking, skiing or snowboarding at the local mountains or rock climbing and paddle boarding in the summertime.
